Maria was born into a family of artists. Her cousins, uncles, father and grandfather were all artists. Her father was recognized by the Italian president for his creations. She fondly remembers working in the family ceramic stores when she was a mere 6 years old. You could say that Maria was born to be an artist.   

 

But a chance meeting changed her life. The person she met later became her husband and together they emigrated to the United States where they raised two children. 

 

However, the artist's passion runs deep within Maria. After her children left the nest, she began creating her own unique ceramics, home decor and jewelry. Each solitary piece she creates is a reflection of both her passion and family history. Early in 2007, Maria launched her own business called Ali D'Oro ("golden wings") to provide clients an opportunity to acquire these one of a kind works of art which truly reflects this family passion and history.
